I've been taking zyrtec for about a year now and I sometimes get really drowsy. I was wondering how I can wake up! I had more then 8 hours of sleep last night yet I STILL went to take a nap for another hour or so(I was at a sleepover at friends house). When my mom came to pick me up, I felt so tired. I tried some cold diet soda because there was nothing there with caffeine or anything. I'm still trying to NOT fall asleep. Also, I'm 12 and about 2 days ago I slept for 18 hours straight.

  1. Zirtek is the trade name for an antihistamine called Cetirizine, which can cause drowziness in some people who take it (possibly in your because you're so young). Try switching to a different antihistamine which is non-drowsy, for example Loratadine.
