How can I wash a wooden clarinet?

I mean a wood clarinet

with water but warm hot or cold???

  1. When you are finished playing, and prior to storing it in the case, the clarinet should be properly cleaned. This removes the warm air and saliva that accumulated inside the instrument when it was used. It also keeps it shiny and clean. This is a delicate instrument, and if you want it to sound good, it has to be maintained.


  2. Noooooo!   Do not 'wash' your wood clarinet with water.

    You can clean the mouthpiece with water but, NOT any of the wood.  If it needs to be 'cleaned' bring it to a professional to be overhauled (cleaned, oiled, recork, repad) if that's what is needed.
