How can I wash my teddy?

I have a bear and I need to wash it, I dropped it somewhere and its in need of a little clean. I heard something about putting it in a pillowcase or something to wash it. How do I dry it?

I like putting mine in a knee high panty hose. Wash them on the delicate/hand wash cycle. You can dry them in the panty hose also, or if you like you can hang dry them.

Teddy Bears can be washed in the washer place teddy in a pillowcase along with quarter cup of Baby Shampoo and dried in the dryer with a pillowcase

Or simply place teddy in a paper bag to which you have added one cup of Cornstarch and half cup of Baking Soda and shake this will remove dust, dirt and moisture and odors, then simply take out and brush with a soft hairbrush Good Luck !

What material is it made from?  What is it stuffed with?   Sometimes the best thing to do is just put cornstarch on it and brush it off with a hair brush.  Some bears will come out ruined if you put them in the washer and dryer.  Are there any tags on it?  The pillow case helps protect button or glass eyes on a stuffed animal.  Give more details on the bear.

I place my children's stuffed animals in a pillowcase to wash them.  I use a cold water wash, minimal detergent and a gentle cycle.  Tumble dry low in the pillowcase as well.
