Is there a device that can allow me to hook up cable to my computer so I can tv on my computer?

  1. Yes i actually have one its called WinTV you can get it at compusa for like 60 bucks

Oh yes there is.  You need a TV tuner card (also comes with a remote).  You just need to make sure your computer is fast enough to "stream" it back without it being distorted (lips matching up with sound correctly), you will also have yourself a DVR too this way.  This is what we just did instead of paying for a DVR anymore!  Price them out at tigerdirect.com or bestbuy.com, I think they are around $100.

  3. There's a piece of hardware called a "TV Tuner Card." It's one of the earliest ways to record or watch TV on your computer. You can pick one up for less than $20, if you don't mind installing the card yourself:

    If you don't mind spending a little bit of extra money, you can get one that fits into your USB port:

    That way, no opening of the computer and making a mess!
