I have just been appointed a mangager for a company that deals with a lot of client money. I was really flattered to get the job because I am a fresh graduate. I have good grades but little real world experience. Now I am starting to see I may have been appointed to take the rap when it hits the fan.

The person before me was fired for mishandling client money but they never told me that, only someone else in the office gave me that info.

I know I need to keep good records, but is there any way that a can show I have clean hands when the accountants come round and not have someone try and pull a fast one on me, because not everyone involved was fired

  1. Ok its easy, All ur findings must be reported to you bosses via emails, so that when they do try and blame you u can have recods f what has been happening

  2. Keep separate records on a disc as a back up.Never put your name to anything unless you have checked it out thoroughly.Delegate jobs ,authority and assignments to the others involved and record it,getting signatures if possible.GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND--PS-I would rather leave myself, you do not need this.

  3. Ask for an external audit. Such an audit will provide a benchmark of where things are at prior to you doing anything. Then, if you are made a scapegoat, you will be able to ask for another audit. The comparison of books should cya.
