How can I wire a EQ to my sony STR-AV970 home theater system?

you should have a tape 2 (monitor input ) on the sony amp.  It would have 4 jacks on it 2 inputs(lft  & rgt) and 2 outputs (lft & rgt) My Onkyo EQ has a tape hook up and an EQ hook up on the back. run the wires thru the EQ hook ups because the tape hook ups is just 4 a second tape deck loop. Make sure to test it thru your tuner have a channel on then push your tape 2 button on the receiver and your radio should stay on and get louder.  If not trouble shoot it by making sure there is power 2 the EQ if so then ur wire hook ups are wrong.  My lft & rgt ins goto my lft & rgt outs(record outs) on my receiver and the 2 outputs on the EQ goto the 2 inputs on the receiver. I hope this helps and isn't 2 confusing 2 follow. best of luck sony is a big fan of having alot of preset EQ settings.
