I'm doing a car audio installation and using a PAC SWI-PS which calls for each lead from the steering wheel controls to be connected to a different resistor and then incorporated on to one wire from the PAC unit. Whats the best/easiest way to do this? Soldering?

  1. soldering is always the best way only downside i can say with soldering is its kind of time consuming and if you mess up you have to start all over and maybe even cut off the connector which will shorten the wire and if the wire is already short that can make things harder for you. but yea if your good at soldering then i suggest you soldering it. trying to crimp and connect all the resistors connectore is a bad idea. the weight of all of them holding onto the wire can have it streching and loosing off the wire and can eventually slip loose and you can have a short or worse.

  2. Who solders? use wire crimpers, its reliable and faster than soldering.
