Is there anyway I can go work/live in France without having any knowledge of the French language. I was hoping I could go there, live for awhile (work etc), and pickup the language. Is there anyway I can do this? What are the steps?

I have a friend that lives there that I could live with for at least the first few months. Eventually I might need to move.

  1. You could probably go there and teach English, but you'll need an ESOL qualification. Most other things require some knowledge of French.

  2. Oh my!

It will be VERY difficult for you.

I lived in Paris for 6 years.. just moved out from there.

First you need working permission to work, then also French people do not speak English... I mean a few ppl and also with a very big French accent ha-ha.

It is just difficult, as you need papers to work...

Good luck, if any question, you can e-mail me.

  3. anything that doesnt rely on much communication such as physical/menial jobs... avoid being a doctor or you might confuse the patient and end up with unforgettable results

i guess living there should be fine

and meanwhile, start learning the language.
