I am a interested in working on the Mars Mission. I have a B.S. in Physics and I am currently working towards my degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have always been interested in aeronautics and space flight and would really like to make a career out of it. However, looking on the NASA website I can find no information about it. Does anyone know where I can find more info about this or who I could contact? Thanks in advance.

  1. NASA is not the only place to look for employment in that area.  Many and I do mean many companies (sub-contractors) work on projects for NASA and many times directly on-site.  Check with all of those contractors for possible employment in that project.  With government jobs they always use contractors with projects due to budgeting and ease of "let them go" at the end of a project.  You might try Boeing, Lockheed and several others to see if they have openings on that project.  Remember Ares is mainly focused on getting first back into space, then the moon, and finally Mars.

  2. Mike

To go on the Mars Mission is very easy my friend, go to the supermarket and by Mars Chocolet bars, then you consider that mission accomplished!!,

I am just kidding but wish you all the best of luck in your career

  3. Well to be perfectly honest, i have degrees in both Physics and Aerospace Engineering and i have worked for N.A.S.A. on previous occasions. The best thing to do is speak to your university lecturers and they should be able to provide you with information. If not i would recommend that you take up Aerospace Engineering.
