How can I write a letter to my employer's corporate office without sounding like I'm ranting?

I am 16 and have been working at McDonald's (in Canada) for about a year now.

There are a number of problems that I have brought to my managers in the restaurant and the franchise owner and they don't care. A lot of other people in the restaurant feel the same way, but just don't say anything.

You are probably saying that is is "just McDonald's" and I should quite if I don't like it. But I do really like my job, but somethings need attention and are not fair.

I want to write a letter, but how do you make it so it doesn't sound like I am ranting and complaining and listing all the issues I have?

  1. keep it simple. hello , my name is ... I am currently employed and one of you restraunts and ..... location. i have noticed a few problems i wish to bring to your attention. i have mebtioned them to my boss with no responce. ( list them)  try not to repeat youself. keep it short.

also you might mention that you dont want your name to be brought up as you LOVE your job and dont want to lose it.

  2. Choose only a few of your "issues".  The ones that seem most important.  Probably no more than 3.  Make sure you back up all your complaints with FACTS!  You need to be sure that your complaints can be validated.

Make sure that you do not point any fingers or let your personal feelings get involved.  Stick to the facts.  Keep it short but do your best to not look over important details.

Finally, be confident.  You are doing something GREAT.  It is always better to fix things and make it right than to quit and runaway!

You would be making things better for your fellow and future co-workers.  As an added bonus you could even be reconized for bring things to attention and proving that you are a loyal and valuable employee!

    GOOD LUCK!

  3. in a business letter u should have 3 paragraphs:

    1. the purpose of the letter

    2.more details about the purpose

    3. your contact information

it should be short and sweet and straight to the point. maybe just the half a page long for those 3 paragraphs.
