I am trying to make my own blackjack table and would like to add writing / designs to a large piece of green felt (which will act as the tabletop). What are the best materials to use? I also want to make sure the writing will not wear off as the table is used.

  1. paint markers or fabric paint u can get fabric paint at walmart

  2. paint markers!! they work great on all surfaces and they last. i would recommend not to use permanent marker at allll.... esp on felt... it tends to fuzz up everything and makes the lines look uneven. go to any arts and craft store and u should be able to find paint markers. hope that helps!!

  3. I use freezer paper sheets (which are applied temporarily to the back of the fabric to keep it from moving and stretching while writing on it) and pigma micron pens. The pens come in tons of colors and last forever. I use them a lot for quilt labels and those are meant to last generations and be washed multiple times in that period, and nothing wears fabric out quite like being run through a washing machine repeatedly, so I imagine they won't wear off and fade on a blackjack table. You could also use paint pens, but depending on the color, they can fade and wear off in dramatic ways the first time something wet touches them (can you say spilled drink during a late night game?) so test it out in a small sample felt piece first.

  4. A white out Pen or paint Markers!i
