How can Israel be a democracy in the middl east if its only a State for Jewish people first?

Just curious about that one, I see that non jews are like second class there, specifically the christians which are mostly the Palestinians.

it's a racist democracy .its apologists always overlook the racist part though.

It is also  a criminal offense to proselytize the Christian faith there.

Like in the apartheid-South Africa, democracy in Israel is only for Jews. I happen to know both Muslim and Christian Israeli citizens and that is what they all tell me.

I do not consider Israel a true democracy, nor a country that adheres to the values shared by most Europeans, whatever they claim themselves.

Each state is free to define who is and who is not a citizen.  Once this is defined, the various rights that apply are also for the state to define.

The Arab citizens of Israel can and do vote in elections.  There are several Israeli-Arab members of the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament).

The big thing is the land--a historical preoccupation for the exiled Jewish people--and what happens is there is a systematic discrimination in terms of who can sell land to whom which the Israeli Supreme Court supports because laws are based on the premise that it is a Jewish state not a secular state for all the people that live there.  Or the Israeli army will come by and declare the need for a military road between a water source and an Arab village in effect depriving the village of its livelihood which is totally legal. This is all done under the veil of hypocrisy that Israel is some kind of great Western democracy.  It is in some ways and it isn't

in others.

Actually the palestinians ( a group of people Saul was instructed of by God to utterly destroy ) are mostly muslims. And I dont think that other countries like syria or jordan would elevate the jews over themselves as well so I guess it's just pride in yourselves first.
