Question:

How can Obama bring "change" if he votes "present" all the time?

If so frequently he makes no vote at all on new items/bills (which "change" older laws), then why should we expect him to bring all of this new material if he is elected? If at the very least he would vote no more frequently, then at least we would know that there are some "changes" that he opposes.

  1. My best guess is that due to the fact that he is in a presidential race at the moment, he probably feels that it is best to play it safe and avoid offending any potential voter by making a strong stance on any bill/item at this time. If/once elected, that may change.

    However, don't take my word for it. I have a deep distrust of political figures. To me, it seems as if they will do and/or say anything to acquire the vote, without really standing for much when the hype is stripped away.
