Question:

How can Palin force her daughter to marry?

First of all, I'm a Democrat and don't really care for the way Palin 'outed' her daughter to save face. Then again, she is the one that has to go home and face her child.

I've read that Palin is making them get married. How can she 'make' them. Are both sets of parents in agreement? What do Bristol and her boyfriend think of this? Are they all for it or are they reluctant. From what I've read, the boyfriend isn't overjoyed.

  1. I think we are witnessing the modern day version of a "shotgun wedding"!  Mama Palin being governor and all may have made it clear to her daughter's baby daddy that he should do the right thing.  You can almost hear the shotgun being ****** now!

  2. I agree, and if they haven't married by now, it shows more that they are not ready and should not get married just because she is pregnant!

  3. Apparently to help her mother obtain the highest political position in the country she is willing to do it, and so is her lover.  It could be as his mother said they planned to already, we only know what they say.

It's good for them either way, if the she isn't VP she surely has a cheesy lifetime movie and book deal in the making, just as he could.

  4. Why do you care.  You act like this isnt happening all over America as you speak.

  5. Where did you read that she was "forcing" her daughter to get married? Source please. Oh wait, there is no credible source. Just more liberal blogs talking about things they know nothing about. Please stop believing everything you read and learn to think for yourself.

  6. Governor Palin was not the one that "outed" her daughter.

Governor Palin can not "make" anyone get married. You need to read upon laws before you make wild statements like that.

Marriage actually works out most of the time despite liberal misrepresentations. A child raised by a mother and father is best served.

If you look at divorce rates between the states you will see the greater the number of liberals the greater the number of divorces. So from that outlook the child of the 17 year old looks good.

I feel sorry you know what it feels like to have unhappy parents. Please understand not everyone is unhappy to have a child.

  7. She cannot make them get married.  This is still a free country. As to the discussion about your childhood and whether folks should marry or not, shouldn't that be posted in a different category other than a political one.

  8. well good for you

  9. I have no idea where you are getting your information.  She and her husband are not forcing them to get married, the kids have set the date and they are going to be together as a family at the convention.  So recheck your news source as our local stations have all said the same thing, what I just told you.  They are not being forced into marriage they have set the date and time and everything.

  10. Oh, how I wish I could have seen the family meetings over this!

    Two words: shotgun wedding.

This isn't going to be good for anyone. And when the marriage falls apart in a few years, and the poor girl becomes a single parent, she'll know how millions of other American women feel.

I didn't think there would be anyone more evil than d**k Cheney to occupy the office of the Vice President. How little I knew until the full story about Gov. Palin was published.

  11. Any mother or father would want their daughter to get married so that baby would have a complete set of parents.  Whether it worKs out or not - the odDs aren't for it, but might as well give it a shot.

As to "how" mom is doping this, that's pretty easy.  "You marry this F*ck up or I'll throw you out of the house!  Y'hear me!  Now you call him on the phone and get his sorry butt over here pronto!  We'll set you two up with a house, an allowance and pay for the baby - but you better smile whenver a camera is within 40 miles of you or you're gonna be washin' dishes for a livin' and your weaky boyfriend will be behind bars until I get good and ready to let him out!"
