Question:

How can Sarah Palin's family life conform to Republican 'family values'?

Given that Sarah Palin’s daughter is 5 months pregnant, does that mean she had underage s*x?

Furthermore, Sarah herself had her eldest child not that long after getting married, so does that mean she had pre-marital s*x?

How does all this illicit shagging fit with the ’family values’ of the Republicans? Shouldn’t the Palins be run out of town or lynched or something?

  1. It boils down to grandpa McCain making a fool out of himself by choosing an old MILF which shows, even for him, a remarkable lack of sound judgment. She is against rights for women, she had a downs child instead of aborting it and she jogs and eats caribou, not exactly glowing recommendations for running the country should old grandpa get too excited looking at her and have a stroke, God forbid!

  2. She showed that she walks the walk when it comes to being pro life.  She didn't abort her little 'tard baby and she didn't get her daughter an abortion.  Christians don't expect you to be perfect.  The concept of sin exists for a reason.  So does the concept of salvation.

Now I'm neither a Christian nor am I pro life, but I can see how Palin's family life is consistent with a Christian family values point of view.

Also the daughter wasn't under age.  She's 17 and the age of consent in Alaska is 16.

  3. They create their own set of values to suit there way of life.  Remember Newt claiming it was the liberal media and press that caused Susan Smith to kill her children.  Newt was there on forefront calling for the impeachment of Clinton while Newt was having an affair.

  4. I guess they do live in the real world.

edit: I think they aspire to live the family values but they aren't realistic.

I'm a liberal democrat by the way. I don't agree with Sarah Palin at all.

  5. Uh, are you kidding? I really hope there are more educated voters out there than this. Values are defined as "Those qualities of behavior, thought, and character that are regarded as being intrinsically good, having desirable results, and worthy of emulation by others."

Values are ideals people strive toward, not absolutes or guarantees. And although unwed pregnancy is probably not a behavior the Palins would call "good," it is clear that not aborting a child IS. And the Palins are certainly demonstrating THAT aspect of their "Republican" family values (which are, in fact, in line with the teachings of Judeo-Christian faiths, upon which our country was founded, so it's not like it's so far afield, really).

  6. the republicans now make underage s*x and pregnancy fine and ok, maybe great! but if it was Biden daughter or Obama's then it would be baaaaad.

remember what they did about clinton's affair?

    Whateveeeer!

  7. Not at all, not every republican is far right and why would liberals care.. These are their type of values.
