  1. TV does all the work, there's no thinking needed.  It doesn't exercise the brain.

  2. it doesn't really. as long as the child doesn't watch it literally 24/7 and doesn't get any excercise.

  3. no, as long as they are also doing other activitys, i use tv time for quite time, like when my youngest is having a nap...

  4. If you have to ask then you're not ready for the explanation...

  5. it doesn't let them grow mentally.

They sit infront of the t.v. and don't study.

    ...hmmm

    at least i say that.

  6. Perhaps "mental" growth is what is meant?

Today's programs don't allow for much creative thought; everything is presented in a manner that allows for little discussion.

  7. causes ADD and the instent gradification impulse starts being set (why read a book when i can watch a movie?)

  8. im not sure but the only way i can think of it is that theyll be in front of the tv all day and not excercise or watever

if its a toddler i dont think it can all it can do is giv the baby bad eyesight especially if the baby is bewborn
