  4. My first suggestion is to read the archives here because your question is asked over and over and over with ages from 9 to 18. You'll get alot of practical advice from some intelligent people ... and a few answers from some crazed lunatics. What's important is to use your skills and interests and hobbies to find and create a need for your customers. You are too young for a work permit to work for an employer but not too young to work for yourself so that's what you have to concentrate on... starting and running a legitimate business. Forget the online surveys, stuffing envelopes and anything else that sounds too good to be true. Use your time and talents to make real money by selling real products or providing real services to those who need them. You might be too young to babysit and be glad of that... it's alot of work to watch other people's brats. You could however start up story hours or puppet shows or even performing as a clown or character at parties not only for kids but for corporate account parties too. Don't only be good at what you do... be GREAT. You can start a lawn care service, housekeeping, washing windows, taking photographs, selling all kinds of products like non toxic cleaning products or energy light bulbs. You could write a newsletter devoted to a favorite topic of yours (and hopefully to others). You can help clean out basements, attics, garages for the elderly or disabled. You can run errands for busy families. You might think about cooking or baking for busy families or singles... cookies, muffins, cupcakes??? Don't let me dictate what you can and can't do. Talk to your parents, your family, your friends, your neighbors, your classmates. Everyone needs solutions to one problem or another. Be known as a "go to guy" for whatever industry your choose and you'll have customers finding you instead of you finding them. Read about business and whatever industry you choose. Do you like to make crafts? Do you like computers??? There's no stopping you if you put your mind to something and stick to it. Your library will have books that address your questions... check the out (literally). See if there's a chapter of Junior Achievements near you:

  5. rayt721 left a very good answer.

Let your mind be free, think big, be creative, communicate, request feedback on what you are doing, and again whatever you do..make sure you strive to become the BEST in what you do.

  6. Mostly through family and friends.

Offer services like mowing a yard, picking up leaves, cleaning the house.  Maybe taking care of someones animals while they are out of town.  BUT for most of these you need to prove yourself as responsible.   If you do, then the word will spread, and you'll get more money.  :)
