Practice! Get a home system setup and go from there. Biggest decision would be budget as well as going vinyl or CD. If you can afford it vinyl is better in my opinion. But nowadays CDJs are pretty standard in most places.

Also, always be on the lookout for new tunes. Research and going to shops, talking with other DJs, etc helps.

first you need a turn table they dont come cheap for good ones and your musical ear needs to be good also listen to oldstyle and new style djs my friend wants to be a dj too
