I know a 15-year-old bright young lady who is looking for a job... I can't be of service to her, but she is close to me and I'd like to help her. She is homeschooled, so that may make her times more flexible. She wants money so she can learn to manage it, along with college savings. She isn't interested in babysitting; she is a good writer and would love a job in the writing field. She also likes talking on the phone and working with other people. (I talked with her earlier about her job requests and these are the things she said)

Any though-out suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks!

  1. I m from india, and big retailers from UK and USA have ethical code of conducts and they impose restriction on asian countries on child working i.e. anyone below 18 cannot work or go for job and i have come across many questions where children below 18 looking for job, why  big retailers like BHS, Debenhams are not concerned of the children of their own country.

  2. Although she may ENJOY writing she has no qualifications to get a professional writing job.  Since she's 15 she has to start at the bottom of the ladder in terms of jobs.  Here are a few ideas.

    1) Post ads around the community for babysitting

    2) Get her to tutor children in English so she can practice her writing skills, gain experience, and make some money.

When I was 15 I worked a minimum wage job at Taco Bell.

At 16 I got a job in the finance department of a furniture specialty franchise.

Now at 18 I work at a high end department store in gift registry while attending college.

As long as she can gain experience she'll do great!

  3. When you found out, email me or something.

Im a 16 year old, homeschooled too.

I was wondering what good jobs are out there to get me going besides babysitting and the average, mcdonalds jobs.

    Lol.

  4. She could take up tutoring students, I think. This may be lame, but yeah, by tutoring, she can learn how to socialise freely with people, as well as, earna considerable amount of money per month. These days students essays are deteriorating more and more. So an English tutor maybe? Sorry if this suggestion is so general. :D

  5. She could tutor is she is good at a particular subject. When I was 15 I tutored a few kids in math and made $15 an hour even though I didn't have any previous experience. She could also learn to make jewelry and sell it, start some kind of online business. I don't know any sort of writing job a 15-year-old could get, but she could call her local newspaper and ask them if she could get a job writing a weekly column of some kind.
