I belong to a 501(c)(3) organization that needs to raise funds and obtain toys for our annual Christmas toys for elementary school children in low-income families.

  1. You can always write companies with your Orginaztions letterhead... you may also want to do a toy drive... host an event  where the entry fee is a new unwrapped toy! That works really well too. My community also does an Angel Tree, no names are on it, but a wish list with the gender, age, etc (community groups know true identities) people take angels off the tree and collect them there and distribute gifts before the holidays.... good luck

  2. Solicit businesses and individuals face to face, asking them to send their checks and things to a third party like a bank or a church.
