How can a US teacher become a teacher in Ireland?

I have Elementary (5-11) and middle school Math(12-14-)Certs and am currently teaching in a middle school. Any advice on becoming a teacher there? Do they need teachers? I heard you have to pass both written and oral Irish exams. Can't speak a l**k of Galic, but I am a good teacher does that matter? 11years experience.

as I answered already in an other question, your qiualifications don't count for anthing over here because they are not recognised by the Irish  board of education. you will need to do either a masters degree or phd in whatever subjects you wish to teach, and you will have to learn gaeilge ( irish) as a second language.. experience usually counts for nothing because our education system is known to be of a much higher level than most countries worldwide, and much different too.

in short, if you want to teach here, you are going to have to do at least 2 years in college re-training  to achieve it.

This site should tell you everything, you don't need to speak irish if you're doing secondary school but probably a good idea to start learning a bit in the meantime, at least it will show some commitment. I'm sure they are looking for highly experienced teachers...if you've got the right paper qualifications (with relevant cross-over status) as well.
