to draw nearer to God--to spend time reading the Bible and really getting to know Him--I find I am so tired in the evenings after dinner, laundry and baths that I just pass out. Then I feel really bad, because I know that God has been there for me know matter what.

  1. To me God is human potential untapped, I assume you are instilling that potential in your children. So are you not divine upon yourself here?

  2. If youre a good person and believe in God then reading the bible doesnt need to take up your time unless you just happen to have extra time Raising a family with the love you have for God is what God wants from you because you will be sharing it with your children and then with their children and therefore perpetuating the kingdom of God in Heaven which is where we all come together in end. Live a good life and be true to God by your own actions.

  3. give yourself a break hire a babysitter or nanny or ask someone can they watch them and read the bible

  4. simple

don't do it, dedicate your time to real things, as being wife and mother

  5. Read in teh A.M. before many othrers get up.

  6. Do you believe it god?  Done.  There is not a test at the end.

  7. We live in a world wired for lights and sound.  Our eyes and ears are entertained continually, distracting us from what is important.  All those distractions may appear to be important, but all that Glitters is not Gold.

I'm always amazed at how much time I have once I turn off the TV, DVR, Stereo, Computer, MP3 player, Cell Phone, etc.  I challenge you to try and turn off all the distractions around you.  Do it for a few days.  I'll bet you will suddenly become bored.

It is at that moment that you realize you now have time for Him.  "Be Still and Know that I am God".  One of my favorite verses.  It is almost as if he knew that we would be distracted by worldly entertainment.

Sometimes I wonder if all these distractions are a tool used by the evil one to drowned out the still and quiet voice (Spirt) in us all.

  8. I'd try waking up a little earlier everyday to read the Bible.

  9. maybe this is your time to draw closer to God through recognizing and teaching - through observation and appreciation of His gifts in your life.  Read when you can.

  10. Night time is the worst time for me too!  I do it in the morning and at work too!  Not only do I goof off on Yahoo Answers at work but I also do a devotional too!

  11. God already appreciates everything you do and knows your heart. Even your simple moments when you sigh heavily and say "now what god" throughout your day is considered prayer, for you acknowledge him and seek wisdom through him. You are good just the way you are in Gods eyes and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

You are such a selfless person whom dedicates every minute of her precious time to her children, God loves you and appreciated you for that. Time you may not have but the lord knows your heart, your mind, he sees the work your hands put in and knows the love you have for him!

  12. It like making time to be with your husband. You have to set a certian time everyday to where the laundry will just have to wait or a bath can wait an extra 10min. God know what we go thru. If we try he will help us in our every day lives. God bless. Post little bible notes at the washer and read them while you are loading the washer. You can pray while doing house work also. God bless you.
