  1. well. if the proportion of women changes, overtime the women clothing demand will change.

    the ageing of the population also creates other demands.


  2. A change in the national origin of the population will increase demand for clothing from that area.  For example, a large increase in the Indian population will increase demand for saris and kurthas.

    A change in the generational composition of the population will change the demand for certain types of clothing.  An increase in the younger generation will likely increase demand for more revealing clothes, and an increase in the older population will increase demand for clothes that hide the signs of aging.

    A change in the population's religion can increase the demand for certain types of clothing.  An increase in conservative forms of religion will increase demand for more modest clothing.
