  1. this is an eay one be creative my gess s that it's for tafe right? i had the exact same question!

    ok with painting you can support the child be showing them to correct way to hold a paint brush you can also point to each colour they are painting with and say it to them  depending on the childs age you could create a painting activity on one table and have a writing activity on another table so they paint then wash there hands and sit down and trace the names of the colours then do  match up games where they have 4 objects of each colour all mixed in together and they have to seperate them into the diffrent colours.

    music is another easy one you teach them the diffrence between fast and slow and loud and soft ask them to lissen to the music and think of one activity that they do that is fast and one that is slow or combine the water topic in to it and get 5-7 objects a mix of which sink and float .

    cooking can be tied in with colours make playdough and use food dye.

    Role play is another easy one send a letter home and tell all parents that next week is red ,blue, yellow week and explain why.

    Hope this gave u some ideas all i can say is be creative and have fun don't worry about the mess they might make if they have fun and get messy you have done your job and they have learnt something.

  2. Are you doing homework for a college class? you have four questions on here.     First i would say you have to interact with all of the materials too.  and you need to follow the child's response to the materials:  observe see what they are doing with it, when they start to loose interest move on.  find new and different ways of using the materials...........

  3. Use these techniques to get them talking, not only does it help them expand their vocabularies but gets their little brains clicking as well (cognitive development)

    Ask open ended questions - why do you think the cow eats grass?

    Comment on the play in a way that shows interest and leads to more conversation - Looks like your flipping pancakes over there!

    Be descriptive in your language - The sand feels cold and scratchy.

  4. encourage and lots of praise

    don't say look you done it wrong

    say maybe we could do it like this

    encouragement and praise

    is the only support young children need

    let them express their selves

    oh and don't forget to play along too
