How can a clamper prove if a clamp has been cut off if you dispose of the clamp ?

I have recently been clamped and decided to cut of the clamp, i have disposed of the clamp.

How can the company that clamped me prove they clamped me in the first place ?

I suppose a photograph of your car with their clamp on it would be pretty conclusive.  Just taking down your numberplate wouldn't prove that they actually fitted the clamp.
