How can a convert thos big vhs cassettes into DVD's .... through my computer?

  1. Well you will have to but a VHS player or reader to connect to your computer. Then save it to your computer buy using a disc writing software (I use nero start smart essentails) than import it. Then sace it to your CPU and then insert a DVD into your computer and go back and click on Burn disc then select the VHS and burn it


  2. You need the right hardware (some sort of video capture card in your computer and the right cables to connect the vcr and computer) to be able to transfer the signal from the VHS reader, and software to take that signal and convert it into a format useable by your computer (MPEG, avi, whatever).  You then need a DVD burner and a DVD maker program (like Nero) to make the mpeg-avi into a dvd.  

    Sounds more complicated than it really is, but it is an investment of a couple hundred bucks possibly, depending on whether you have the hardware already or not.
