I'm a 16 year old distance runner for XC & Track. I'm about 5'6 and 120 lbs. Right now, I run a 2:45 800m and about a 6:10 1600m. I have a lot of leg muscle, arm muscle, and abs, but I feel like I have a lot of body fat. I run about 35 miles a week, do 10 minute ab workouts 4 times a week, and always do push-ups. You can feel my abs but can't see them, because I have fat over it. How can I lose this fat? (I've been running for 2 years and it hasn't gone away.)

  1. Re evalute your nutrition. Also, to burn off that layer of fat on your stomach, you need to run it off, as direct excercises (sit ups, etc) won't be enough. When you get a solid core foundation, you can begin incorporating sit ups.

By the way, 10 minute abs won't work effectively. You need to have a set of reps to go with.

    Good luck!

  2. do a work out like jump roping it will tone your body fat to were you look lean,

  3. well exercise is not enough, you must diet as well.  not so much starve ur self, but just eat healthier food that will give u energy and will clean out ur system.  Try eating only vegetables and water for 2 days and that will clean out ur system to get u started into a healthier diet.  Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
