  1. You need to be a permanent resident to join, not sure if there is a minimum time you need to have your green card first.  You can't join on a visa or if you are an illegal immigrant.  Also, you need to be naturalized before you can become an officer.  Contact a recruiter for more information.

  2. Yes, it is possible.

I have served with foreigners in the US Navy.

    Talk to a recruiter.

  3. try the French Foreign Legion instead!

  4. Get a US Citizenship and meet the age and weight restrictions.

  5. There was a guy in my Boot Camp company that was not a US Citizen.  You just cannot be an officer.

  6. Walk in through the southern entrance,(mexico). Thats all you have to do.

  7. 2 words...green card!

  8. It's very possible. Many foreign nationals enlist in the Navy. It's actually a good way to expedite the process of obtaining U.S. citizenship. You do however need to obtain you U.S. citizenship to get a security clearance and subsequently to get into many Naval career fields. Contact your local recruiter (you can find you local recruiter at www.navy.com) to get the full details.
