  1. I think jilly said the magic word... reasoning.  A home daycare is going to provide the child with the opportunity to practice using his reasoning skills.  A home daycare provider or teacher can ask questions and guide that child to come to some sort of conclusion.  They can also model thinking strategies, "I know I would really like to have that toy right now, but if I snatch it, I will get in trouble over it.  What else could I do to get that toy?  Well, asking for it seemed to work last time..."

The biggest advantage a home daycare adds to the child's day is the opportunity to interact with others and thus have lots of chances to practice making logical decisions.

  2. Any child will make logical decisions if guided. For instance have a dolls tea party and ask the child to set the table, the child will put cutlery in front of each doll. Give children choice and they will work out logically what is best for themselves, of course mistakes will be made but again this will help with their reasoning skills.
