  1. ive been on a build with them... there was a total of 180 workers and a whole lot of cash!!

  2. With a BIG crew.

  3. non stop hammering , plumbing, wiring, digging , shoveling, drywalling.  coffee drinking , and a lot of swearing!

  4. Realistically, purchase a pre-fab home, they can be "assembled" in under 7 days.   Although the foundation needs to already be done and waiting to accept the house.

  5. With a big team of builders and working 24/7

  6. yea..big crew like the others said, but also with very poor condition after wards.

  7. they basically THROW the house together... my best friend's family builds houses for a living and their houses take about 3-4 months to be built correctly and they are strong sturdy houses that will last a lifetime... the houses on extreme makeover might be glitz, glam and HUGE, but they aren't that sturdy and wouldn't be worthy of a lot...

They use HUGE crews to build those houses and have many shifts that run through the night.

    Hope that answered your question!

  8. Very easily with LOTS of volunteers.

Since you obviously don't watch the show closely, you've missed the fact that thousands of people work on the house, including the Makeover team, 24 hours for the 7 days allotted to build the house.

The Makeover team has been in my state, Calif, twice.  I was at both tapings, having heard about them on the radio.  BOTH tapings had over 1000 volunteers.  Not including the radio, TV & Makeover crew.  It was a LOT of work to get the houses done but they got built in the time allotted.

What'd I do to help out?  I was on one of the line brigades, handing furniture & furnishings into the house.  I wasn't on-camera but I didn't go to get that.  I went because I knew one of the families & went to the second one just to be an extra pair of helping hands.
