How can a human raise an animal to be wild?

I was thinking earlier about the problems conservationists face when trying to rear an animal in captivity - this got me to wondering, how does that animal learn not to trust humans so much? Quite a risk for the few remaining members of an endangered species to be familiar and friendly with humans, no? Also how does that animal learn how to detect clues that a predator is nearby if it has lived its entire early life without encountering one?

  1. they have to reintroduce them and spend lots of money getting them used to the wild again. This one lady spent thousands of dollars raising a ear back into the wild, within ten minutes after releasing into the wild it was shot by a trophy hunter.

  2. They are called teenagers.

  3. Some conservationists never let the animal they raise see a human.  They approach it from behind a screen and wear hand puppets that look like, for instance, a condor parent, putting the food in the chicks mouth, and they disguise their scent so the chick doesn't smell it.  When it's older, they feed it "natural" foods, such as whole animals instead of prepared food.  They teach it to hunt by dangling the dead animal on a stick like a cat toy.  Eventually, you could release live prey into the pen so the animal can learn to hunt it.

  4. ever watched "ANIMAL PLANET"I do there was a show last week about a lady raising zebras and how she reintroduced him to the wild, they try to not get to close to the; take care of needs but not too much human contact then they find family, herd, pack whatever animal lives in, because animal most in a group of their own to survive in the wild.

  5. Hmmm...maybe if you were to introduce it to it's predators. For example, cats know that dogs are predators, but they usually have rules governing them because of their domestication. The undomesticated ones have no rules. You might want to start out using a domesticated predator and introducing until the animal can understand what will happen. Use another animal as someone to show it how to adapt.

  6. its easy dont raise the animal and if u r just dont treat like a pet treat it like its got sumthing u dont want to catch maybe think it has sars also if u want to teach it about predators get a big hunting dog and a water gun

  7. He/she can't!  Anytime we humans try to raise a wild animal, once it gets set free it is too stupid to know that there are preditors, and it usually gets eaten moments after its release.

  8. Easy sent those animals to South of Africa..as  easy as ABC..

  9. This is kind of gross but I saw a documentary where a young tiger was injured. It was treated and healed then taught to hunt using at first a ball fastened to a rope then live rabbits .

Before the tiger was released it was beat with a stick.
