You need to be really good at it. And I mean really good. You need to get yourself out there, be prepared for any interviews, look your best 24/7, watch your language and behavior in public, and get your name out there. Go to lots of agencies and give them your name. Create a portfolio. Take like, 20 really good pictures of yourself and create a neat, well put together, yet fashion forward (not too teenager-ish please) portfolio. Also, make a small one (pictures 3x5) so you can have one in your purse at all times. Take advantage of anything, work on your poses, and your walk, learn how to make the light hit you in the righ way, and make sure you are a blank canvas. Not too much makeup. Dress in jeans and a form fitting shirt with your hair pulled back and little to no make up.
