How can a person be 'Gothic' and still fit into society?

I love Gothic.How can a person be 'Gothic' and still fit into society?The job frowns on such things as does alot of other places.I'm talking about medieval gothic.Not punk gothic.Like mild Gothic.I am a little older as well.But have a much different personality.So it fits me.

i dont know how much luck your gonna have. the point of beinga punk or goth is that we dont fit into society and instead of hiding that we celebrate that so i dont know if thats truely possible to be both
