My bigot cousin has 2 children but she's had four abortions. I say bigot because she is against full equality for g*y and L*****n couple namely same-s*x marriage. She's a religious woman but has had abortions and is against same-s*x marriage. The only argument that someone would have to deny g**s marriage is religion but religion is also against abortion. I'm not an advocate of abortion per se but I believe in a woman's right to choose. I believe a woman should use discretion when it comes to abortion and not use it as a form of birth control. There are too many contraceptives and birth control for that. The only time I feel a woman should consider an abortion is if the baby will be deformed, born of rape or incest, or if the pregnancy could be fatal to the mother. But I won't deny them that right and nor should they deny a g*y the right to marry. Marriage is a human right. So God says it's alright for you to kill but God forbid society let a same-gender couple in love marry. I say she's a hypocrit. What do you think?

  1. You can't use one person as an example for entire groups. Homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to get married. I agree they maybe should get health benefits and things like that when it comes to insurance but marriage is between a man and a woman.

  2. OMG.. i cant believe what a huge deal you guys make down there about same s*x marriage!   Its been here in Canada for several years now and it hasnt made a whiff of diff to anyone (other than those who want to be married)..   My daughter is still getting married this fall to a guy she loves and the fact same-s*x is available too hasnt in one iota decreased the sanctity of it for her.

    Its a big YAWN

  3. It's called hypocrisy and it's a typical right-wing trait.  They expect everyone else to live up to higher moral standards than they set for themselves.

  4. I think they are for the woman's right to choose.

  5. Religion is not about abortions or homosexual marriage. It's really about choice and helping the active people make the right one. i think it's a personal preference. I do think shecould've been a little more careful about getting so many abortions, but again, we couldn't really speak for her because the mind is incomprehensible. She made her choice based on the way she felt. and that's never wrong.

  6. stupid!!!!!! i agree with you

  7. because they are two seperate issues.

  8. I think your answer is in your premise.

You assume she is a hypocrite, because you make the assumption she is attacking same s*x marriage based on religion.  However, that is not the only grounds a person may attack that on.  They could disagree with it simply because they don't like it, or it isn't "natural" (meaning it doesn't equate in reproduction).

Second, it depends on what you define a marriage as.  If you define it simply as to people dedicating themselves, I guess that is a right, however, marriage in the practical sense is a legal contract between two people, and that, is not a right at all.   Contract law is pretty much determined by the states, and it only need follow Federal guidelines.

  9. yes religion is a defining point in ones view on homosexual marriages and you could argue abortion is too, but same s*x marriage is same s*x marriage no matter the circumstances whereas there are loads of different circumstance surrounding abortion: illness, diseases, deformity, unable to support the child finacially etc...

  10. i think you're right to an extent.  I believe a woman should have the right to choose, no matter what the reason.  I don't feel it's anyone's business but the woman who is pregnant.

but yes, your cousin is a hypocrit.  just because someone is religious doesn't mean they are perfect.  quite the contrary in most cases.
