How can a person become more clairvoyant?

I think before asking how to become more clairvoyant, you have to establish that you are clairvoyant at all, or that anybody is. That hasn't happened yet. Despite research into clairvoyance (e.g., Ganzfeld studies, remote viewing), those results have not risen above debate and controversy. To no surprise those who already are disposed to believing in these phenomena accept the methodology and reported results, but scientists who have reviewed these studies have identified numerous problems in both method and analysis such that the results are in question.  At this point, belief in clairvoyance still seems to be more faith-based that anything else, in my opinion. Perhaps in the future better experiments will be designed and performed which provide more credible evidence for psi, but we are not there yet and we should keep in mind that we may never be if psi abilities don't actually exist.

The classic (and in my opinion best) answer is to learn to meditate, and then practice with discipline. The precise method of meditation probably doesn't matter much, but learning how to still your mind is key. It is not possible to perform subtle mental tasks if the mind is chattering so loudly that you can't carefully attend to your own thoughts.

It is worth noting that developing clairvoyance is not always a good thing. Some people cannot handle the emotional effects of feeling others' pain, or the loss of ego-boundaries that are important in defining who we are. For people with say, borderline personality disorder, attempting to become more clairvoyant is inadvisable.

Here is how to be more clairvoyant:

Listen carefully to your customers. Pick up bits of information from their mannerisms. These will help you to tell them what they want to hear.

Make no mistake, large tips can come from this.

When you find what's really eating them, ask them to pay extra for info on that. Make sure your replies sound mysterious. Make a list of “other world” sounding phrases to use at opportune moments.

Your customers will know and feel that you have become more clairvoyant.

Clairvoyant means to predict future. When person can read Universal mind and intellect he can predict future.

But to avail that, one needs to do efforts of starting regular spiritual practice which is as per the basic principles of spirituality....

Many people gain through study (books, lectures, workshops, etc.) the understanding and development of psychic/mediumship abilities, talents, skills.  Find a good teacher and it will amaze you how much more there is to the subject.  Like any skill, it works best when trained.  http://groups.msn.com/spiritualwisdom

You can perceive yourself becoming more clairvoyant only by widening what you consider to be clairvoyance.  Because clairvoyance as a phenomenon doesn't exist to begin with, your ability to practice what you perceive to be clairvoyance is limited by the degree to which you can convince yourself it's really happening.  So the broader your definition of clairvoyance, the easier it is to fool yourself.  The more easily you fool yourself, the more you will perceive yourself to have this phantom ability.

As a practising psychic/clairvoyant/palmist (and I despise giving myself those labels)... I always start my readings with a guarantee that if the querent is unhappy with the reading, I will not charge a thing.

I have only refused to charge once... because I could find nothing of benefit to tell that person.  There are perhaps only a few of us around that feel ethically responsible for information we dish out. Not all of us rake in millions from bamboozling people with generalised predictions.  Some like me are cash poor and ethics rich.

Thinking about an answer to your question proved difficult.  Someone here mistakenly quotes 'clairvoyant' as meaning 'predicting the future' or something like that.

It come from the French word 'claivoyant' which means clear-seeing.  Not once in 30 years have I ever 'clearly seen' everything about a person.  If I could and I told them what would happen every step of the way in their life, then they are not living their life, but are living the life I choose is best for them. What is the point then?

I do not believe a clairvoyant is something you become.  You might try to quiet the mind and mediatate and train your mind to pick up on things, but I just think the process means you are not becoming more clairvoyant, only more aware.

So? Other psychics might jump on me and say, woman, stick up for us, but I won't.  I once did an article for a magazine where I had to investigate what percentage of psychics on average, were real or had the 'ability'.

Unfortunately, and quite in support of popular opinion, it proved to be less than 10% of the 100 readers I visited and interviewed. And half of them seemed like they were from another planet. (Planet of Lunacy & Delusion)

I am clairvoyant only in that information comes to me in images as opposed to sound or feelings/senses... but more often than not, I can see the images but they don't make bloody sense to me until I relay it to the querent...

Then there will be those here who will say I was fishing for the answer.  I don't give a hoot either bloomin way... the message is for the querent not me.  So don't shoot the messenger.

I wouldn't say it is how a person can become more clairvoyant so much as ways to maximize your clairvoyance coming through but the Ganzfeld technique and Remote Viewing have both had great success.
