  1. uh they dont.

  2. I don't know, but when my cousin was a young child he used to do this (and no it wasnt faking!) and it was one of the freakiest things i have seen!

  3. I don't know, but my cousin used to do it.  We would walk in the room and thought she was looking at us and she would be sound asleep.  Sometimes when I'm really tired, I space out with my eyes open and don't even realize I've been staring at someone or somehitng.  Maybe it's similar to that.

    crazyness ^_^

  5. They can't!

  6. Its a form of sleep insomnia and can be very bad some times.

  7. Ugh. That's gross. I don't know how they could do that!

  8. i've seen my brother sleeping with his eyes almost closed but a little bit open. they just don't close all the way.

not sure how that happens, though.

  9. their lids don't close.  My eyelids are sometimes partially open and I am aware of movement at times when I sleep like that because I have woken up with my brother standing over me with a stupid grin on his face.  I sat still enough till he got close and i sat up grabbed him and started to scream... he ran out the room so fast screaming like a little girl... ah... the good ole days... the little girly screamer is now a marine.

  10. i m not sure i sleep with my eyes open

  11. People actually can sleep with their eyes open, I've seen it many times. Usually we keep our eyes closed when we sleep because 1) it lubricates the eyes (keeps them from drying out) and 2) It gets rid of visual distractions, (IE lamp being on). When people sleep with their eyes open, there may be a neurological problem, such as facial (muscle) weakness, insomnia (the brain will just shut down), extreme loss of sleep, etc). There is no 'cure' except to take eye lubricant before you go to bed to protect and lube the eye. If you or someone you know sleeps with their eyes open you should schedule a visit with your doctor to find the cause and get treatment.

  12. they don't, they just fake sleep while they have their eyes open...

  13. If they're in a trance/deep daydream. But I don't know if they can really sleep properly with their eyes open!
