How can a person spot a TROLL or a STALKER?

I dont think there is a 100% sure fire way to do it, but am hoping some of the long time users might know a few indicators at least. Thanks

Don't worry it's easy!!!!!

First of all, a troll should be easy to spot, it has a big hat and beard and lives under a bridge.

A stalker is a person who follows someone around all day.

Well, a troll and a stalker ARE two different things.

A troll on the Internet (and there are many) are people who create multiple user accounts to hide behind and just go around causing trouble - posting insults, stupidity, nonsense, etc. - try to cause fights.  They're not consistent and have no real info. so they're easy to spot.  (Liars always get found out)! - Usually, the best way according to ME and InternetDucttape.com - is to Ignore them.  Don't fight back, (It's what they want) - and if they keep it up, if your message boards have a block or ignore button, USE it!!  If they are specifically targeting you - Either report them - depending on

their level of abuse - or be a troll yourself and go after THEM!! LOL - They cannot take it back.  ...they do eventually go away (trolls)

But stalkers? are more serious.  Don't engage them in conversation at all, - and definitely don't tell them anything personal...Ignore. Or

report.
