How can a "complete" stranger tell you "the truth" about your life when they don't even know you?

You post a question/thread, etc. on a forum or Q&A site, asking for help. & someone says, "You're crazy & need help! 4 real."

& you privately ask them why they said something. Their response is, "You can't get mad 'cuz I told you "the TRUTH!".

  1. no, that's not how a forum works. every word you type is your life. since we don't know you we can only judge on what you show us. so if your question makes you sound crazy and you need help, that's  a valid response (depending on the question if it doesn't answer the question then its poor etiquette).

  2. Well, in that specific area, they might be right.  Sometimes it is hard to see something from the inside and it takes someone on the outside to tell us something that should have been obvious.  That is how therapy works, someone not involved in the situation has a say on what is happening.  It can be very hard to accept the truth when our natural reaction is to deny it (when it hurts).  However, given the statement above, I would not put too much faith in what they had to say.  Crazy is not something to mess around with and someone just stating that someone else is crazy shouldn't be taken too seriously.

  3. That happens when you ask complete strangers on Internet about your life.

  4. The person is crazy, someone who likes to be nasty online, a troll/flamer, or someone who didn't understand your question.  Those are my guesses
