How can a single, white male find a low income apartment?

I'm in college full time, and in between jobs, and would only have time to work weekends, and evenings.

Can you list some sites for southwest Missouri (Springfield) that might help me get my own place for little money.

College students are not eligible for low income housing.  You need to get financial aid, a job, parental help, or some means of support.

You are not eligible.  In the usa you must be black, mexican, or a white woman, otherwise you are expected to stand on the corner and pan handle all day.  Unfortunately for you, you were born in the usa.

Your grant money or what ever you get for school should cover your housing.

I rent to ASU students all the time and Mesa Community College students.

I see a lot of misinformation being given in this section.

In Arizona I have seen students on our Medical Social Services and section 8.

Most students pay their rent up when they get their school money.

Grants, loans or what ever.

Look in the papers. Post notices on grocery store walls. Find a room, maybe a basement room. Live quietly and cleanly and pay your rent on time.

Maybe rent a room. Apartments arn't cheap. Either that or get a room mate. I work full time and can barely afford my place along with all the utilities.

Check with your school's financial advisor. Sometimes you can get grants to cover housing. Or, at the very least, help you connect with a couple of roommates also in your situation.
