Small businesses can personalise their service. Customer Service is very important and should never be ignored. However small a business but has warm, friendly and personalised service, I'm sure you'll do pretty well.

Of course never forget the power of marketing. It's ok if cannot put up big ads on buses, etc. Give out flyers and other cheaper alternatives can work well too.
