Am I mistaking the meaning of feminism? Isn't feminism is all about "equal rights"?

How can a woman not be a feminist?

(This is not a rhetorical question, by the way)

  1. shave your legs and wear a dress.

  2. I support old fashion values and I NEVER want to be a mans equal, I work and I do all I can do but I still love every part of femininity and I still love a man who is a man that is chivalrous...

  3. I believe in the holistic principle that man and woman compliment each other. Women being nurturer, caring, they provide stability in a home. Men are providers, laborers and defenders of the home. To me the feminist movement has created Two providers with no one left to nurture the home/family.

I do believe in equal pay for equal work, right to vote, right to drive and to smoke cigarettes. But the feminist movement has also taken away our mothers, our girlfriends our wives. A woman would have been someone whom we would have crawled through broken glass for, swam through shark infested water for. We would have given up our very own lives to save... But now the feminists only want us now to get out of their way. Feminist are outraged, Chivalry equals Chauvinism and we have no one left to defend but our own pride, in the past most men would have died in defense of the woman they loved, but now we have no one left whom we can cherish, no one left whom will accept our devotion.

  4. im not a feminist. feminism is about equal rights for women, but then it expects women to be put on some sort of pedestal.

If we women want total equality and equal pay, we should stop expecting modern chivalry and for men to open the door for us all the time. And theres a difference between it being a romantic gesture and us EXPECTING it.

I'm like some of the rest of the women here. I like a man who acts like a gentlemen and supports the family. And in return for that, I stay home and cook and clean. If I wanted to go out and work like my husband, I would expect him to cook and clean for me. Equal trade off.

but with sexual harassment and stuff.....

If a man comments on his female coworkers butt, its sexual harassment. But when I tell my male classmate that the only reason he drives a truck is to compensate for his small p***s, everyone laughs. Is that very equal? No.

I want the same treatment from men that I give. So if I sexually harass a man about his "small p***s", I would expect the same in return.

  5. No, it is about WOMEN'S equal rights.
