  1. Do you mean you want to send e-mail to people not in your Group, and encourage them to join your Group?  If so, there are two possible ways to do this.

    (1) If you're an owner or moderator of the Group, you can send an invitation to non-members to join your Group.  To do this, log in to your Group's web site.  Then click the Invite link on the left-hand side of the page.  Then, in the large box, enter the Yahoo ID or e-mail address of each person you want to invite to the Group, one per line.  Don't forget to click the Submit Invite button (towards the lower-right-hand corner) when you're done.

    (2) Any member of a Group can send a personal e-mail to someone they know, asking them to join the Group.  Don't forget to copy the web address (URL) of the Group's home page from where it appears in your browser, and paste it into the body of the e-mail, so that the recipient can easily access the Group's home page.

Or do you mean you want to send a message to the members of your Group who are e-mail only members and thus can't access the Group's web site?  If so, you must be an owner or moderator of the Group to do this.  If you are, then log in to your Group's web site.  Then click on the Members link on the left-hand side of the page.  Your Group's e-mail only members will be listed at the end of this members list, so if your Group has more than ten members, you will need to click the Last link at the upper-right-hand corner of the list of the first ten members.  Then, for each e-mail only member whose e-mail address is listed in black in the left-hand column, click the Request Profile link in the Yahoo ID column of that line.  Then follow the directions on the resulting screen to send a message to that member asking that he/she get a Yahoo ID so he/she can access the Group's web site.  Repeat those last two sentences for each e-maill only member.

  2. you need to be more clear. some e-mail providers do not allow that type of HTML code as the promote code, that is more for web pages than it is e-mail.

you also need to have a open or restricted group memebrship in order for those or a URL to work to direct people to your group
