How can an 18 year old save money with a car?

im 18 years old, HS graduate, i got a part time job making 170-235 a week and i have a 1990 accord that is a gas saver, i pay around 107 a month for my car insurance, i need to know how to save money to around 3000 and i already have a checkings account but it seems to not work because of the debit card making it easy to access my money.. i need suggestions on how to save up..?

cut up your debit card.  put some of your income in a savings account instead of all of it in your checking account.  keeping your money in a checking account is too tempting to spend.  use your checking account to pay bills.  try to put as much money in the savings account as possible.  you don't seem to have any bills except the car insurance.  you could save at least $50 to 75 per month or more. get rid of the debit card.  good luck.
