Canada doesn't care what kind of visa you have in the US.  To work in Canada, you need a job offer and work permit.  Not all jobs lead to being able to apply for permanent status.  The fastest way to permanent status is through a provincial nominee program, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/p...

    You have to live in Canada as a permanent resident for 3 years (1095 days) before you can apply for citizenship.  That takes about a year to process and then you will do a citizenship test and ceremony.


  2. Your US student visa means nothing in Canada.  It gives you no special dispensation to take Canadian employment.


  3. Canada doesn't care what your US status is, unless you have a criminal record there.
