How can an Indian company start a business in Australia? How do I register it economically?

Should the company be registered as an australian company or an Indian one? The Indian company has an experience and good reputation of 8 yrs in India?

  1. The best approach is to get an accountant or lawyer to form a company for you which can be owned by your Indian company. Last I checked it cost A$1,500 to form a new company but that can be done cheaper if you shop around.

    You do have a choice of registering your company in Australia via the "doing business as" method but you may not have name protection.

    I currently own business in Australia and New Zealand and have a new one starting up for a new product I will import. If you elaborate on your requirements I may be able to assist further or point you in the right direction. Maybe you can end up helping me with my new product in India?

  2. It is registered as an Australian company, despite having a history elsewhere.  It can be listed as a subsidiary of tghe established company from India, but is considered and listed as Australian to do business from within there.
