  1. yes you can move there and they dont care but i am sure you can all the mexican embassy and find out. i wouldn't live there with it being so lawless. its scary down there period.

  2. No, you do not have to become a Mexican citizen.

You can do this in one of two ways , By going to your city's Mexican consulate.(not recommended if you have a criminal history, OR, when you get to Mexico on a tourist visa you can go to the local immigration office and apply to become a temporary resident.

You will have to prove (every year) for the next five years, that you can support your self.  You will need to prove you are receiving at least $1200.00 a month.

If , for example you can show that you have $50,000.00 in the bank (Cash or paper) you will be approved right away, If there is such a thing here (Manana pues).

You will then be issued an FM3. Once every year for usually 5 years you will be required to do the same thing.

Now you are able to apply for an FM2 .  its much the same thing but moves you closer to becoming an "Imigrado" at which point you will not have to do any of the aforementioned.

    (After another five years)

  3. You could ask for a 180 visa.

  4. no one will kick you out... but idally, you shoul get the 90 days tourist visa and renew it. also you can't work unless your sponsored by a compnay... but... you can do investments, like open up a resturant or something, thats fine.... good luck

  5. year by year visa

  6. To reside in mexico, you should get an FM 3 visa.  yYu must have proof of at least $1200.00 a monthe steady income from the U.S....like a pension, or proof of at least one years worth in the bank.  This visa must be renewed every year and proof of income is required.  After 5 years you may apply for an FM2 visa ( similar to a green card in the U.S.)  After 2 more years, you may apply or citizenship...which takes at least 2 years.  People who cannot provide proof of income often go to Mexico on a 180 day tourist card...and leave every 6 months for a day or so, then re-enter on another tourist card.  You CANNOT work in Mexico without an FM3 and a work permit....very difficult to get.  You must find an employer who will write a letter to immigration and state that he is giving you a job for which he cannot find a Mexican citizen.  Then your work permit is tied to that specific job. Enven professional jobs pay a fraction of what they do in the U.S.  unemployment in Mexico is high...they do not NEED" workers.  Retiring in Mexico works well, moving here as a young person who needs to work, simply does not.

  7. All you have to do is have plenty of American dollars on you and you'll be one of the most beloved citizens of Mexico.  From experience I know.  God Bless you.

  8. Just move there ain't nobody going to kick you out...
