How can an inmate get his first parole hearing?

My friend has a life sentence in Texas and I was wondering how to get the parole board to give him a hearing to consider letting him out on parole.

    From looking at the site and if I'm reading it correctly your must do 35 years before being elligable for parole with a life sentence.  

    However; upon being eligible for parole your friend will have to have a Full Board Vote (from the parole board) and a written report from Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

  2. Depends if the judge ever said life with possibility f parole or not if he did he would have to do atleast 25 years

  3. Time must pass.  Inmates don't request parole hearings.  When the time comes after serving "X amount" of his sentence, then he will have his parole hearing.
