  3. You can find this on Yahoo! as well

    Take Merrill Lynch for example:

    1. On the left side in the blue column click on the "Key Statistics" link

    2. You should see the shares short on the right hand side under the "Share Statics" Heading.

  4. You can't.

    The exchanges only report short interest once a month. That monthly report can be found on several sites, including Yahoo, as noted in other answers. It is not, however, current.
