How can any human survive Lightning?

i watched on national geographic a man that was hit in the leg by lightning and survived

  3. Humans killed by lightning strikes die because it stops the heart.  If the lightning hits in such a way that it does not effect the heart, the person survives.

  4. People hit by lightning suffer both extreme heat and damaging electricity from the bolt. Direct hits are not the only danger however. In open terrain, nearby strikes also can electrocute. But it is possible to survive.

    Lightning is one of the most powerful forces in nature and can be charged with more than 100 million volts of electricity. It can cause fires and can instantly kill one or several people where it hits. Even if you do survive a strike, many survivors face many health problems after being hit.

    btw, my religious answer is.. it is not his fate to death by lightning strike..
