Don't get me wrong, I am not a prude, but I had an unfortunate opportunity of watching the show at a friends' house and I couldn't believe how dumb and pretentious this show is. Every actor in the show seems to be competing with each other with how rude and obnoxious they can get and the show is as empty as can be.

  1. i used to watch it but now the episodes get dumber and dumber

  2. it's just a show it's fake my daughter doesn't watch hanna montana but if she did I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. if kids act rude it's because of their parents they don't discipline their kids when they behave badly. my daughter is only 3 and doesn't watch much tv but when she does it's usually nick jr or something on sprout. don't let tv impact your life it's just entertainment.

  3. You just described almost ALL of television.

  4. Ok, I've seen this show once and I actually thought it was cute. There is nothing wrong with it! If you don't like whats on tv, quit complaining and turn your tv off:)

  5. wow i let my 8 year old watch it and i didnt know this but i will pay attention to it in the future and judge for myself thanks for this question

  6. WE don't have TV in our home. We are empty Nester's,too. I go see grand kids,& some of the cartoons, etc. are so bad, i don't wonder why kids are so crazy acting these days. They get smart aleck remarks from the shows.  The Simpsons was the worst!!

  7. The show is meant for entertainment not learning. At least its not like Spongebob, in which that show makes use of A LOT of crude humor that children shouldnt witness. Hannah Montana is on the Disney channel for god's sake there is nothing wrong with it. Lighten up and get a grip.

  8. Better Hannah Montana than Sponge Bob, no?

Personally I don't like any of it and limit it in my home.

  9. You ask this in a world that made Married With Children and the Simpsons top rated shows? Even Sesame Street sucks today.

I haven't seen this specific show, so I'm not going to comment upon it.

  10. I watch it, and theres nothing wrong with my mothers parenting skills at all. And theres absolutly nothing wrong with any child watching it. The characters are not rude or obnoxiouse, the caring father? the talented and friendly miley and lilly? Maybe you were watching the wrong show! Theres much worse on the television these days .. !! :@

  11. I agree with you, there. I really dislike the show and that girl, Miley Cyrus. How can the parents of young girls and boys allow their children to be subjected to such abysmal television? I remember the glory days of good children's cartoons and genuinely funny shows! (Batman, Rugrats etc.)

  12. I'm 13 and I watch hannah Montana. It's funny and it doesn't offend anybody so why shouldn't children watch it.

  13. I know what you mean, I'd actually rather my kids watch something useful on the rated "R" side then have them watch mindless children's comedy shows.

  14. I agree.............

  15. they're just showz. itz entertainment. & remember itz also NOT REAL so az long az u teach ur child right then TV should b fine...especially showz that r MADE for kidz.

  16. I see nothing wrong with it....all shows can be lame...they are for entertainment not learning...thats what they have school and parents for...tv was meant for entertaining

  17. have you seen the other shows that are on?!? there are a lot worse! cartoon network has shows that i deff. wouldnt want my kids to see, but i mean, if you're gonna start dissing these shows (and yeh, theyre stupid and annoying) THEN wat r ur kids gonna be watching... u just simply shouldnt hav a TV, that would be the best thing... and rugrats, come ooon... i mean, that was one of my fav. shows, but with character names like lip*s***z* and some of the other things hidden in the show, i mean, really, there are MUCH worse shows on TV than hannah montana...

  18. I watch Hannah Montana, because I enjoy the show.  I also watch programs on National Geographic and Discovery and History channels, because I enjoy those as well.

I've been told I am a respectful young woman, and my parents are very proud of me.

I don't think watching the show makes you want to imitate it.  As long as you raise your children right in other areas it shouldn't really matter.  Don't expect the tv to do your parenting for you.

  19. I don't know. I am a 13 year old girl, and my best friend loves those kind of shows. Her nickname is Miley! But I don't call her that. I think it is just like watching an old blues clues eposide just to see what everyones fuss was about. After watching it you don't understand that at 4 you loved that show. I think it is just a phase, kind of shows they are interested in for a few years then they will move on to other shows.  Are you a child, teen, adult?

  20. I agree with you 100 per cent. There have been so many issues with that girl in real life and the show itself just shows how superficial she is. Other actors and actresses aren't much better either. The whole show isn't a paradigm for children. No morals are involved. It's always just cheap and obnoxious. Parents shouldn't let their children watch it. I don't why they allow their children to do it now.

  21. agree 100%. the sad thing is that some parents dont care/know what their kids are watching as long as it isnt p**n.

  22. Miley is so over-rated, but then, most celebs are... I have no interest in this show, and my kids won't be watching it... The good news is, they wouldn't even want to. :)

  23. it is a parent's responsibility to show kids how to view the media responsibly. this includes exposing them to different kinds of media and explaining what can and what cannot and what should not happen in real life. it allows the kid to make well rounded choices about what they watch. forbidding them to watch something is the easy way out. it allows you to cut corners in parenting. I let my kids watch what they want, but when they first do, I explain all of the above, what I said before. Even if I don't like it, I still let them watch it because it's their opinion. If I don't want to watch it, I can go to another tv if I'm really that bugged.

  24. yea the show is kinda corny..

  25. My daughter's (12 and 7) - sometimes watch that show, but not really. I don't let my kids watch that much tv and were not home much to watch it anyways.  Hannah Montana is a dumb show, but I don't mind if my kids watch it once or twice. Thankfully, they don't even like it that much. Were more of a movie kind of family then a tv family. If you know what I mean

  26. Ohmygosh! Hate that show too! The acting is poor and the charters yell all the time is such an obnoxios show! My sister watches it and I can't stand it! My mom doesn't like it either but she still lets my sister watch it. Because, although its annoying, theres nothing really innapropiate in it. So my mom doesn't care.

  27. That is not all true. I have seen Hannah Montana myself and I think that it is a great show for children 7 and older. My daughter is 6, she will be 7 next year. We don't let her watch much of Disney Channel, but next year that will change.

  28. I disagree. Hannah Montana is much better than some of the cartoons you find on cartoon network. My son has a list of cartoons he is not allowed to watch on cartoon network, but we watch Hannah Montana (along with other Disney Channel shows) together. There are much worse shows out there for kids to watch.

  29. I disagree and think the show is great.  ( parent of teenagers and pre-teens).  Each episode does teach a moral lesson in the end, I like that.   Its funny, corny but gets to the point of the lesson. I am relieved for once a show like this came along without s*x and violence and has a moral meaning in the end.   I think its a great show for pre-teens.

  30. SPEAK THE TRUTH.

    i soo agree with you.

  31. That's the problem very few parents with kids that age are of the right mind.
